Join us at Trinity and delve into a special Bible study beginning this fall. This will help you shake off the winter blues!
This study will explore humor in the Bible, not as we impose our biases, but as it exists in its own cultural setting. The Bible, just like humanity itself, is sometimes funny and even possibly offensive in the 2000’s.
The author of our text on biblical humor speaks about “found” versus “created” humor. Biblical humor is used to help tell the story of salvation history and to entertain its audience with satire, surprise, reversals, and the utterly outlandish.
